Coach Journal Entry

 Took the newbies out for Chinese tonight. Those kids always throw me for a loop with their secrets, but this one was a doozy. I had no idea about Ghost's dad. Wow. And Lu's story threw me a little bit too. I'm glad his dad reached out and now he has a team to help support him. That kid has a lot of potential and if he can channel that passion he'll go far both on the track and off of it. Those dang newbies better stop asking such nosy questions off the bat though or this team will be history before it's even started. We'll see what happens at next practice. But I think this could be a pretty darn good year.
